Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi consented to the lofty position in 2015, succeeding the departed Oba Okunade Sijuwade, who was the 50th Ooni of Ife.
His fatherly granddad was Ruler Joseph Olagbaju Adewole Ogunwusi, whose granddad was Ọba Ọ̀ráyẹ̀gbà (otherwise called Ooni Orarigba or Orasigba) Ọjájá I, who was the 44th Ooni of Ife and governed from 1878 to 1880.
